Ali Rizvi is a communications and development professional from Karachi, Pakistan. His work is deeply engaged with the politics and discourses surrounding social and developmental issues in Pakistan, with a particular focus on public health and social justice.

For his contributions to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, and Family Planning, Ali was named a David and Lucile Packard Foundation Youth Champion in 2014. He founded the Ehsas Films Project in 2015, which has since produced short films and organized public screenings and campaigns. His film "Sapna," which portrays the struggles of a transgender person, won the best film award at the International Travel South Asia Film Festival in 2016. His other notable films include "Breaking the Gender Binary," "Ghungroo," "Limbs," and "The Untouchable," all of which have been screened on various national and international platforms in India, the USA, Canada, and the Asia Pacific region. In 2018, Ali was awarded the Women Deliver Fellowship for his work promoting gender equality.

Ali is currently a Fulbright scholar pursuing an MA in Communication Management at George Washington University. He holds a BA (Hons) in Communication and Design from Habib University and the ACCA qualification. Ali continues to experiment with different forms and mediums to tell compelling stories, focusing primarily on film as a tool for advocacy both within and outside of Pakistan.
